Academy reading copy. This lesson is not offered as a file download.
Appendix I — Current-Events Evidence Pack Protocol Before every cohort, and again whenever a major event changes the factual environment, the Editorial & Research Lead should issue a dated evidence pack. The pack is not a political messaging memo; it is a controlled source update for facts that are too unstable to embed permanently in the course. Required section Minimum content Version / cutoff Issue date, timezone, editor, next review date and clear “information current through” timestamp.
Current office-holders Only offices materially relevant to training; link to authoritative institutional pages. Conflict status Key verified developments relevant to assigned exercises; no unnecessary battlefield speculation. Casualty / hostage figures Date, source, definitions, known revisions/uncertainty and independent corroboration where available. Major legal developments Court/tribunal name, case/document number, procedural posture, exact ruling/order and what has not been decided.
Diplomatic developments Official agreement/statement text plus reputable independent context. Antisemitism / hate incidents used in class Verified incident record, source, privacy safeguards and whether the matter is under investigation. Required section Minimum content Corrections since prior pack What changed, why, and which course material or fact card is superseded.
Rule
No trainee should be penalized for refusing to state a live number that the Academy itself has not supplied in a current, reviewed evidence pack.
