Academy reading copy. This lesson is not offered as a file download.

Appendix F — Bnei Anusim / Path of Return Ambassador Track This specialization sits on top of the common ReJEWenate curriculum. It does not create a separate truth standard. Ambassadors serving this track should be able to explain history, invite documentation, identify appropriate educational pathways and refer status questions to qualified authorities. Ambassador may Ambassador may not Explain the history of forced conversion, Iberian expulsions, Inquisition-era secrecy and later identity recovery.

Declare a person Jewish under halachah. Invite a descendant to document maternal/paternal genealogy, civil records, family traditions and community history. Say a surname, DNA result, food custom, candle custom or family story conclusively proves Jewish status. Explain that sincere return may involve education, community integration, documentation and — depending on competent rabbinic determination — conversion/giur or other halachic process. Promise a specific beit din result or imply that an Academy ambassador is a dayan.

Explain available ReJEWenate / Machon Bnei Anusim learning and referral resources. Promise recognition by the State of Israel, Jewish Agency, Ministry of Interior or another authority. Treat identity stories with dignity and recognize possible family/historical trauma. Pressure a person to make rapid identity claims or romanticize persecution. Suggested first conversation

Refer halachic questions to the designated rabbinic authority and immigration/aliyah questions to competent legal/official channels.
